the United Kingdom: 

 

England, Wales, Scotland 

and Northern Ireland

 

and the Republic of Ireland.

 

 

The capital of ENGLAND is London.

 

The capital of SCOTLAND is Edinburgh.

 

The capital of WALES is Cardiff.

 

The capital of NORTHERN IRELAND is Belfast.

 

The capital of the Republic of IRELAND is Dublin.

 

 

 

 

The flower of England is the Tudor rose.

 

The flower of Scotland is the thistle.

 

The flower of Wales is the daffodil and the vegetable is the leek.

 

The flower of Ireland is the shamrock.

 

 

Saint George is the Patron Saint of England.

 

Saint David is the Patron Saint of Wales.

 

Saint Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland.

 

Saint Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland.

 

 

 

 

The flag of England is the Cross of Saint George.

 

The flag of Scotland is the Cross of Saint Andrew.

 

The flag of Northern Ireland is the Cross of Saint Patrick.

 

The flag of Wales is composed of a red dragon on a white and green background.
