Written Comprehension

 

 

 

Harry Potter is a young boy of 11. He is English.

He lives with his aunt and his uncle, the Dursleys, and their son, Dudley, because he hasn't got any parents: they are dead.

He isn't happy at the Dursleys’ because they are horrible with him. 

One night, Harry has got a visit from a very nice giant: Hagrid. 

He tells Harry he isn't a common boy: he is a wizard, a sort of magician.

 

So Harry goes to a special school: a wizard school: Hogwarts.

His teachers are Mrs Pomfrey and Mrs McGonagall.

They are very strict.

Harry has got a pet: an owl. Its name is Hedwig.

 

At Hogwarts, Harry has got two friends: a boy and a girl.

Ron is very funny with his red hair. 

He has got a lot of brothers and sisters.

Hermione is very good at school but she hasn't got any brother or sister. 

She has got long blond hair and brown eyes.
