How to write an informal letter

You use the informal letter layout when writing to a friend or a member of your family.

 

There is no need in an informal letter to write your friend’s address at the top left-hand corner.

Your own address is at the top right-hand corner but without your name. 

 

Useful expressions in an informal letter:

Thank you so much for sending me …

Sorry I haven’t written to you for so long…

 

I hope to hear from you soon…
