Avant de te mettre à lire, tu peux te mettre dans la peau d’un anglophone. 

Tu joues un rôle, ta voix change, tu oublies ta prononciation française et te prends pour une personne anglophone que tu aimes bien.

Fais attention à la ponctuation : 

je te rappelle qu’une virgule sert à faire une pause, qu’un point montre une fin de phrase et que ta voix descend.

Pour les phrases interrogatives, il y a 2 possibilités : s’il s’agit d’une question ouverte (demande de renseignement) la voix descend, alors que dans le cas d’une yes/no question, la voix monte.

Rappelle-toi aussi qu’en anglais les pluriels se prononcent tous :

• -s:    il y a 2 prononciations possibles :   /s/ elephants        /z/  windows     
• -es:     /iz/   glasses

Certaines syllabes ont une prononciation spécifique qui ne change pas : 

tu peux les apprendre et t'entrainer à les prononcer :    

• -tion  /ʃən /  addition, population
• -al   /əl/   national, exceptional
• -ment   /mənt/    government, compliment
• -ism /ɪzəm/    tourism, cubism

Certaines terminaisons ont plusieurs prononciations :

• -ed : /d/, /t/, /id/ mais jamais /ed/     

En suivant ces conseils et en t'entrainant à lire ou à parler régulièrement, ta prononciation deviendra de plus en plus proche de celle des anglophones !
