Some, Any, No and their compounds

SOME : l'élément dont je parle est vu comme existant.

Ex: I have some very good friends.

 

ANY : l'élément dont je parle n'est pas vu comme existant, soit parce que je ne sais pas (d'où son utilisation dans les questions), soit parce que je dis qu'il n'existe pas (dans les négations accompagné de NOT).

Ex: Have you seen any star when you were in Los Angeles?

No, unfortunately, I haven't seen any.

 

NO : l'élément dont je parle est vu comme non-existant.

Ex: There is no power in my battery.

 

Some, Any et No s'utilise avec des composés pour créer de nouveaux mots

SomeAnyNo
Someone = quelqu'unAnyone = quelqu'unNo one = personne
Somebody = quelqu'unAnybody = quelqu'unNobody = personne
Somewhere = quelque partAnywhere = quelque partNowhere = nulle part

What is the difference between Anywhere and Everywhere?

Not ... anywhere = nulle part

Everywhere = dans CHAQUE endroit
